The determinants of intention to seek advice within marital couples about fraudulent telephone calls

Consultative behavior with spouses has been found to be effective in deterring telephone call–based fraud. This study aimed identify the factors that enhance spousal counseling during fraudulent phone call encounters. In December 2019, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 874 households each exclusively composed an elderly marital couple (n = 1,748). The influence day-to-day relationship and trust spouse as counselor on intention consult was examined using Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) analysis. results showed satisfaction had indirect effect intentions for consultative behavior, mediated by both wives husbands, defined daily communication positive problem-solving strategies. imply efforts communicate proactively solve problems increase marriage are also promoting behavior.
